Game #1 GIF Recap: Toronto Blue Jays VS Baltimore Orioles

It’s here! It’s finally here! After a damn long winter and what felt like an even longer spring the Jays finally played their very first game that actually counts and this in the lineup they put onto the field:

It was a weird start for Estrada that you could literally draw a line in the middle separating the moment he got comfortable. The first three inning he have up 2 runs, 5 hits, and 3 walks. Those numbers would stay the same after the third as he shuts down the Orioles for the next 3 innings.

Estrada would then hand the ball to the newly configured, Osuna-less bullpen who also did a wonderful job of keeping the game tied until 11th when Grilli gave up a walk-off homerun to 2016 Home Run Leader Mark Trumbo.

It was a fun game to watch that provided the Jays plenty of opportunity to score runs but they managed to leave 12 men on base. Both Donaldson and Pearce led the team with 3 hits each.

And although Bautista did not get any hits, and had some umm… interesting plate appearances, he had some awesome defensive highlights. The first in the third inning where he got an outfield assists to get Davis trying to stretch a single to a double.
